Lisa Singh

Professor, Department of Computer Science

Research Professor, Massive Data Institute

Lisa Singh is a professor of computer science at Georgetown University. She specializes in data-centric computing. Her research involves aspects of data driven computer science: database systems, data mining, data privacy, data science, and data visualization. Dr. Singh’s general research interests are mining social networks and other dynamic graphs, anomaly detection, data ming/reduction of large graph data sets, privacy preserving data mining, and visual analytics.

Naomi Mezey

Professor of Law, Georgetown Law

Naomi Mezey is a leading scholar of law and culture. Her writings include articles on the role of law in the formation and recognition of identity, including gender and sexuality. Her teaching fields include Civil Procedure, Jurisprudence, Legislation, Gender and Sexuality Law and Policy, and Nationalism. Professor Mezey received a J.D. from Stanford Law School where she served as an articles editor for the Stanford Law Review, and an M.A. in American Studies from the University of Minnesota.


Jamillah Bowman Williams

Associate Professor of Law, Georgetown Law

Jamillah Williams focuses her research on contemporary bias, the effectiveness of anti-discrimination law, and the capacity of law to promote compliance and social change. More specifically, she uses social psychology theory and empirical analysis to examine the impact of anti-discrimination law on the individuals it was intended to protect. Before joining the faculty at Georgetown University Law Center, Williams was a National Science Foundation Fellow and Visiting Scholar at the American Bar Foundation in Chicago, Il.

Austin Donohue is a third year student at the Georgetown University Law Center. She graduated in 2014 from George Washington University with a B.A. in Political Communications. Her research focuses on the impact of technology and communication on law and social movements. 


Rachel Farkas

J.D. Candidate, Georgetown University Law Center

Rachel Farkas is in her third year at Georgetown University Law Center. She is a Student Fellow for G+JI, President of the Georgetown Law ACLU, member of the Appellate Advocacy Division of Barristers’ Council, and a Staff Member at the Georgetown Journal of Gender and the Law. She plans to work as a public defender upon graduating in May 2020.

Linda Li is a graduate of Georgetown University’s Analytics program. She is interested in data science and its application to timely social and policy developments in the United States. With MDI, she worked on the #MeToo research collaboration.

Xintong Zhao is a graduate of Georgetown University’s Analytics program. Her interests include solving real-life problems related to big data. Zhao researched at the Massive Data Institute and is pursuing a PhD to gain more knowledge in Data Analytics.

Yiqing Ren provides web support for the project. Her research interests are databases and information retrieval, more generally centered around data-driven analytics. She has experience in developing database-backed infrastructure for supporting analytics tasks.
